Tulips of Pella
By Andrew Prather Photography
Welcome!
I'm glad you're here!
Hi, I’m Andrew, a photographer and licensed drone pilot in Pella, IA. Pella prides itself on its tulips, windmills, and Dutch heritage, and its tulip festival draws hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world. Each fall the city plants countless fresh tulip bulbs so that in the spring breathtaking tulips bloom. It is my passion to capture intimate tulip snapshots. I love tulips, and I’ve filled my home with framed prints of them, and I hope that you will want to fill your home with my tulip captures too.
Bring a touch of spring year-round with exquisite archival-grade prints.

Photographers often get asked, where do you print your photos? My answer to this is that I print my own photos using professional quality inks and papers. For larger images, I have a Print Lab print the images.
-
The importance of paper for a print cannot be overstated. Even if one has a top of the line printer, the choice of paper will make or break a print. For this reason, I use high quality professional papers for my prints. The highly rated Red River Paper, an American paper manufacturer, is my paper supplier. The quality of their papers is exceptional, and their papers offer professional print lab quality that normal photo paper cannot match. All of my prints come on acid-free archival paper. According to testing by the paper manufacturer, unframed prints should last decades. When framed, prints should last over a lifetime.
-
I work with other businesses for framing my photos; I do not build my own frames. Be assured that the business I utilize to frame my prints packages the frames very well so that they arrive undamaged. Framed prints come with easy to follow instructions and hanging hardware.

I utilize a different business to fulfill orders of canvas prints. Canvas prints are exceptional quality, and come with easy to follow instructions for using the included mounting hardware to hang the print on your wall.

I package my prints and frames properly so that they arrive without issue. For this reason, I cannot offer Free Shipping. For prints I offer two shipping options: a cheaper tube option, in which the print is rolled and placed within the tube; and a standard package option, where the print is sandwiched between cardboard and packaged tightly to prevent bending.
Store
My online store will feature tulip photos, as well as other prints. I am currently in the building stage, and I hope to launch my online store in Q1 2025.
